People always say you should separate business from personal. Yet, in my career I have learned that business is almost always very personal, especially in the wedding business. I was in the market for a business coach, and after a bit of research I found Agnes Pagan. Her advice helped me to discover how I really wanted Court Style to be presented, and she was very instrumental in my rebranding! Fate would have it that the very woman that helped me to truly identify my business brand was seeking a wedding coordinator. When November 8 finally arrived I was beyond excited for the day.

Agnes and her groom opted for a first look photo on the terrace of historic venue. The look on both of their faces, equally filled with love and excitement, was priceless.

The couple was very intentional with many tributes to the groom's grandparents who raised him. Their memory was felt throughout the day.

Both moms led the wedding ceremony processional and lit candles to begin the personable, yet upbeat, unplugged ceremony officiated by a close family friend of the groom.

Agnes and Brandon chose a perfect color palette for the autumn nuptials- wine and navy with gold accents. As guests awaited entrance into the reception space they were able to enjoy an open bar with two signature cocktails (HIS- bourbon pomegranate lemonade and HERS- red sangria), and a fun interactive photobooth.

As a nod to the couple's chic and modern, yet romantic style, the room was designed with a clean minimalist motif. Each table donned a custom wine bottle as a table number indicator, wine colored table linen with navy napkins, gold chargers, and chiavari chairs. Centerpieces contained various displays of pearls, candles, white hydrangeas, baby's breath, and eucalyptus.

Agnes and Brandon are caught seemingly doing the "good food dance." The dinner spread, showcased the heritages of both the bride and groom, and was full of amazing delicacies. Southern classics featuring slow cooked collard greens, brie and cheddar mac and cheese, buttermilk fried chicken, and cream cheese cornbread accompanied tastes of Puerto Rico which delighted guests with arroz con gandules, platanos maduros, pernil con adobo, and ensalada de repollo.

Before the dance floor was filled, Agnes and Brandon cut into a spectacular strawberry and chocolate marble cake with oreo cream cheese icing.

Before the night ended Agnes was serenaded with sweetheart songs from both the lovely ladies of Deltas Sigma Theta's and the dapper gentlemen of Kappa Alpha Psi.

To end the evening, guests took home custom treats created by the bride's mom.
